”RULES OF PLAY”

 

 

Putt

1.      Stableford System of Play: Bogey = 1 pt., Par = 2 pts, Birdie = 4 pts, Eagle = 6 pts.

2.      Ready Golf – To speed up play – tee it up when ready

3.      Winter Rules of play – You may move the ball one foot (12 inches) laterally,
         no closer to the hole, with hand or club.

4.      No Mulligans (Except first shot of the day)

5.      Triple BogeyRule – Pick your ball up after triple bogey.

6.      Ball Hit out of bounds or lost – Take a drop at the spot the ball went out of bounds or into
         the rough, and assess yourself one stroke.  You have (5) five minutes to look for a lost ball.

7.      If you address the ball, swing and miss, it will cost you a stroke.

8.      If you have an unplayable lie, your options are;

  1. Two lateral club lengths, no closer to the hole.
  2.  Re-hit from the original spot
  3. Go back any distance from where the ball lies, keeping that point between you and the hole.
  4. All of these options carry (1) one stroke penalty.

9.      If you hit the wrong ball, it costs you one stroke and you must play out the correct ball.

10.    If your ball is in a hazard, you may not ground you club while addressing the ball.

11.    Yellow Stakes – Take a drop, (1 Stroke penalty) keeping the point of entry and the hole in line.  Go back as far as you want to.

12.    Red Stakes – Lateral water hazard – Drop the ball 2 club lengths laterally, no closer to the hole.
